One of the most coveted cards from the ultra high end 2008 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Football Card Set, has emerged on ebay. The auction, which was first reported by Sports Cards Uncensored, features a 2008 Exquisite Collection Tiger Woods Autographed Rookie Patch Card, Serial Numbered 1/3.
The card is listed with a Buy It Now price of $1,000,000 - far more then anyone expects the card to actually sell for. The seller admits to the price of the auction being more marketing ploy then realistic expectation, saying it is, “A great way to advertise an extremely rare card.”
Considering that almost 40 offers have been made on his 2008 Exquisite Tiger Woods Autograph Rookie Patch, its hard to argue with the effectiveness of his marketing tactics.
