How this hobby started?

Just passed my 21st birthday yesterday, and so I’ve been in Hot Wheels collecting for 2+ years.

At 2007, Transformer the Movie was released, and it make a great impact around the entertainment business, as well as the fans. I was addicted to the movie by that time, and begun hunting for it’s toys from Hasbro. Until one day, I notice a red vehicle at the Hot Wheels rack, hanging at the toys department of Jusco. It was the Chevy Camaro Concept, a vehicle mode of Bumblebee. That is when the idea of collection every vehicles available in Transformer came into my mind. The next model I get was the yellow Hummer H2, resembling Rachet, and Dodge Ram 1500, which looks like Ironhide.

I wouldn’t say they were my first Hot Wheels as I have some when I was a kid, but that three vehicles is the starting point of my Hot Wheels collection. I went on to find out more about what models available, and my interest in it grew. Only after half a year of collecting, I realize about the existance of Treasure Hunt, and after few more months, I realize about the Super Treasure Hunt.

Hunting was never boring, as my lovely girl is always there with me,she even found a Super Treasure Hunt Ferrari Enzo for me. Not to mention my supportive family that will look out for me some times. And most importantly is my brother that share the same interest with me.

Interaction with the Hot Wheels community begun when I started a thread at Lowyat forum, and to my surprise it grows quite fast. More members joining in and we share this hobby with each other. And now we’ve moved to hwcmalaysia.com to continue our sharing in this hobby.
